This is how I get into bed
Except with more hair and less pants.
I probably watched this for five minutes too long.

I just got home from taking a little: drive almost 37 miles over 1:47:20. I didn’t take a whole lot of photos, just over 100. It was more of a trial by fire of scoping out places with Street View and following up in person.
It worked pretty well, a few of the places I stopped were under bmore’s “polishing shit” incentive, or whatever it is called. The one spot I am disappointed that was out of date was this really awesome church. It had been replaced by several large piles of really awesome rubble, but I couldn’t get a good angle on it with all the chain link.
I’ll be posting photos on the photo tumblr and my flickr as I get through them. I’ll only reblog my most favorite here.

Apparently my Panda Corys like to hang out in shot glasses.
I listed a whole slew of leather on my Etsy recently, I thought top down photos looked neat and tidy.
treekisser asked: Re: Your comment about our petition. First, the NY salon wasn't selling one single bikini. They were waxing women and then replacing the hair with fox fur. The biggest waste of animals' lives I've ever seen. And with regards to our petition, it WILL mean a hell of a lot when they give up fur, because INTERMIX is a nationally revered source of fashion inspiration. If they declare the trend unfashionable, others will follow. It's a big deal.
THAT’S A THING!? Sorry, when that text said “bikini” I assumed they were selling a fur bikini, not turning a beaver into a fox. That’s just ridiculous and the fact that they are using faux fur doesn’t make it any better. It shouldn’t be allowed, full stop. If I ever was surprised by something like that, that chick would be, for lack of a better term, road kill.
My point is not whether or not using fur is wrong (I think it is disgusting), it is that that trumpeting the success of a petition for a relatively small, unknown …ahem…procedure… for “a salon in NY” is a lot different than challenging a larger beast. Petitions just don’t scale well. Petitions aren’t what won the civil rights movement or woman’s suffrage.
That is all.
I found my spirit animal. I’ve always had an interest in industrial photography and human kind’s impact on their surroundings. The other day, Netflix recommended Manufactured Landscapes as something I would be interested in. To be honest, it is a rather slow moving documentary about this guy, Edward Burtynsky, taking photos of stuff around the world. There really isn’t much to it. He intentionally doesn’t imbue the film with any bias, nor does he try to sway your opinion. There isn’t much of a climax, maybe some heated (yet polite) exchange at a Chinese coal plant, and that only took my heart rate up a few bpm.
Truthfully, though, every photo that was shown, every location that was visited, every idea he had, reinvigorated my (incredibly lacking) interest in capturing photographs. It was a completely worthwhile eighty six minutes for me, and while your experiences may vary (especially if you like looking at photographs of emaciated models in awkward positions) it is still worth a watch.
This is just missing a wolf or three howling at the outerspaceness.
